The Story Behind KP Stone Care

KP Stone Care began with a simple idea: old stone buildings deserve care that matches the time and skill that went into building them. The founder, Kevin, grew up around the stone walls and cottages of Oxfordshire, watching craftsmen painstakingly restore centuries-old structures. There was something about the way skilled hands could breathe life back into weathered stone that stayed with him.
 

After years working in property restoration and learning traditional masonry techniques, Kevin saw a gap: many historic homes and listed buildings were being treated with modern shortcuts that risked long-term damage. He wanted to do things differently — combining traditional methods like lime mortar pointing with a respect for each building’s history.

So KP Stone Care was born. The goal was clear: a small, local team of dedicated craftsmen who take pride in their work, treat every wall and façade as a story in itself, and ensure that Oxfordshire’s stone buildings remain beautiful and structurally sound for generations to come.
 

Today, KP Stone Care works with homeowners, architects, and conservation officers across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. But the ethos hasn’t changed: quality, care, and respect for heritage are at the heart of everything we do.
